| Text | Report of the murder, on Sunday at Pasley, of Maud Hayes, daughter of Wash Hayes, by Benjamin Bethel of Cassville, who then committed suicide. Maude Hayes was the daughter of I. W. & Phoebe A. Hayes, born June 25, 1875 in Johnson Co., IN. She was buried at Huff Cemetery. Ben Bethel was born in Newton Co., MO, April 7, 1876 and came here with his father John Bethel and burial was at Cassville Cemetery. |
