NEW BANKING LAW Shows A Great Many Insolvent Banks In Missouri |
Jefferson City, Mo., Oct. 1 – The bank of Monett and the bank of Purdy in Barry county, are two institutions that have been closed by Secretary of State Leseur, upon notification by the state bank examiner of their insolvent condition., and are in the hands of receivers. This makes thirteen banks that have been closed by the secretary of state since the execution of the new bank examination law began of the first of July, besides half a dozen that anticipated an examination by making assignments. |
