Text An adjourned term of the County court of Barry County was held Dec 6, 1892. Present M. H. Sparkman, Wm. Hisaw and Richard Tucker, judges; G. M. Goodnight, sheriff, J. H. McGuffin, Clerk.

Road pet. of Anton et al. motion filled to set aside report of comr's. Motion overruled. Court ordered that the township trustees and petitioners pay the sum of $200.

Taylor McGlothlin vs. Road dist. No. 9 for services as road overseer. Account of $52. allowed.

Acc't. of J. T. Browning for $8.45 for goods furnished poor person allowed.

Pet. of Chris Snider et al, for new road, com. appointed.

Acc't. of E. P. Butler for $8.81, repairing road tools for dist. 15.

Road pet. of P. G. Robertson dismissed.

Road Pet. of L. M. Hemphill et al, dismissed on account of impracticability of road.

J. J. Edens relived of erroneous assessment on land.

Order that the clerk ascertain what standard weights measure and seals will cost.

G. R. King shows that his new road is open and in good condition.

Court adjourned to Dec 6th.


Second Day, Tuesday, Dec 6, 1892

Pet of Chas. Earle, et al for a stock election. Ordered that an election be held in Exeter township for the purpose of restraining swine, sheep and goats.

It was ordered that the following accounts be allowed:

G. M. Goodnight, per diem, attending probate court 24.00

It is ordered by the court at the general road funds be set a part to the county revenue funds.

In the inquest held over the body of Grant Pyatt, the following amounts was allowed and warrants drawn: $25.31.

The following bonds by order of the court were approved:

C. B. Burchfield, Liberty.

The court ordered that the expenses of the election in fees to judges, clerks and constables be allowed, which amount aggregated $347.00.

It is ordered by the court that G. M. Goodnight be allowed 50 cents per day for the board of each prisoner contained in the county jail.

It is ordered by the court that the following amounts be allowed and warrants issued therefore:
Hudson & Hesse, account poor farm .75
J. M. Black, acc't poor farm, 5.75
Alonzo Frost, repairing pump 1.50
Henley Bros. blacksmithing for road district and county 5.60
J. M. Black, mdse for poor farm 17.55
J. H. McGuffin, making and recording surveyor's report 107.90

It is so ordered by the court that the Treasure's yearly salary be raised from $500 to $550.
