Headline Edward Hagood Badly Hurt
Text Edward Hagood aged 18 years, the only son of E.C. Hagood, a prominent stock dealer and farmer, residing 5 miles out on Rural Route 1, while getting on a young mule, Sunday evening at Milwaukee a store, 4 miles south of this city, the mule reared up, its head striking Ed on the side of his head knocking him insensible, he fell to the ground, striking it very hard. Friends went to his assistance and conveyed him to the residence of Ed Daughtery, where he was cared for. Blood passed freely from his ears and nose; he was able to swallow water. Dr's. Chandler of this city and L.B. Northcutt of Washburn, were called to attend him. We hope for his early recovery and restoration to good health.

It is feared that a fracture of the skull exists, and if so, it is questionable about his recovery.

Mr. Hagood's many friends in this city hope for his son's complete and early recovery.
