Alexander, Thomas McDuffa and Seth Rederick Higgs all fought for the Confederate Army.  James K. Higgs fought with the Federals, they were all brothers.  We are unsure if the other brother, George H. Higgs, served or not.

All of these have documented service records on file with the National Archives in Washington DC.
