Directions: East across the road of the Clay Hill School in a grove of trees and about 1/4 mile North of the Old Madry store.

Note from JT - 2004: There are only a few graves there and all are unmarked but one and that one is Enoch McCoy.

Note from JT: The last time I was there the Clay Hill school building was still standing but no road goes by the school and cemetery as the 1909 map shows it.

Note from Jay Trace 3-6-07: According to the Edward G. Gerde's, Civil War Homepage, his 1st Arkansas Calvary, Company G was on the Union side. F. M. Pierce was listed as Francis M. Pearce, a private who enlisted on Aug. 1, 1862 at Springfield, MO. I believe that date to be accurate, according to other information. He was listed as 24 years old. However, they have him listed as dying in Mt. Vernon, MO, on May 14, 1862. I think they really mean he died in 1863. They were listed as having "Duty" in Cassville & Springfield from late April until September, 1963.

There were at least a dozen fieldstone markers there at Williams Cemetery, so there should be more people buried there, but there's no way of knowing who.

The folks that own the land are named Gary & Denise Packwood. There address is HCR 1 Box 7, Aurora, MO 65605. They own a blue doublewide mobile home on the west side of Highway 39, just north of the Madry Store. To get to the cemetery you have to go into their driveway (and get permission). You keep going straight to a gate, and you follow the dirt road a little ways to a small group of trees on the right. That's the cemetery. Keep going a little farther and you see the old Clay Hill School building.
