SSW: Allie L. - Research Note: Son of William P. Taylor and Anna Forqueran. His wife was named as Carrie Taylor and she was the informant on the death certificate. - He lived his entire life in this community excepting for two years as a young man, he lived near West Liberty, Iowa. He married Zona Bales 1904. To this union had three children: Raymond Taylor of Joplin, MO, Warda Taylor of Modesto, CA, and Mona Utter (deceased), wife Zona passed away in 1910. He married Allie Jones in 1910 and they had three children: Orba Taylor, Fairview, MO, Hugh Taylor of South San Francisco, CA and Evva Fraizer of San Francisco, CA. His second wife, Allie passed away in May 1940. He then made his home with his son, Orba and family, until May 30,1942, when he married to Carrie Jessie of Stella, MO, she survives. He was a member of the Church of the Christ, having obeyed the Gospel about 1915. With exception of the two years in the home of his son, he lived at his farm home in the Oshkosh community 55 years, until October 1960, he moved with his wife to property in Stella, MO. The last month of his life, he was cared for in the home of a niece, Mrs. Eleta Williams, near Neosho, MO. In addition to his wife and five children, he leaves to mourn his passing, one brother, Henry Taylor of Blue Jacket, OK, and one sister, Mrs. Addie Meaghers of Miami, OK, 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He was a loving and sincere father and an honest and faithful friend and neighbor. Death Certificate

SSW: Sarah M. - Research Note: Son of Jesse Thomas born KY and Cynthia Ann Thompson born KY. Arthur M. Thomas (son) of Fairview, MO was the informant on the death certificate. - Wheaton Journal, January 3, 1929 - Daniel Thomas, one of the most highly respected citizens of Newton County, who lived three and one-half miles east of Stella, has passed away. He was born in Rush County, Indiana, Oct. 4, 1846 and died December 11, 1928 at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 6 days. He joined the Federal army at the age of 18 and served until he was honorably discharged at the close of the Civil War. He then came to Newton County about 1870 and lived in the same neighborhood practically all the time since. Mr. Thomas was married to Sarah M. (Parker) McCallister June 23, 1872. To this union were born nine children, five boys and four girls, three of whom preceded him to the great beyond. Those living are: Edward Thomas of Batesville, Ark., Mrs. Nora Colwell, Sacramento, Cal., Arthur Thomas, Fairview, Mo., Mrs. Davis, Stark City, Mo., Mrs. Ethel Mitchell, Los Angles, Cal. He leaves to mourn their great loss besides an aged widow and one stepson, the above children, 34 grand children. 20 great-grand children and a host of other relatives and friends. He was laid to rest Dec. 12 in the Rocky Comfort Cemetery. Death Certificate

Preceding him in death were his parents and one step-son, Ray. He grew up and received his education in Rocky Comfort graduating with the class of 1955. Lloyd was employed as an over the road truck driver and self-employed as an excavation operator until he was forced into retirement due to an injury. He also owned several businesses in the Wheaton area. He was a 32nd Mason in Comfort Lodge No. 533, the Scottish Rite of Joplin and a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine. Preceding him in death were his mother, Geneva Tichenor and one brother, Terry Tichenor. Mark grew up and attended school in Wheaton, Missouri graduating from Wheaton High School. After graduation he started working as a well driller for Tichenor Drilling in Wheaton. In 2005 he started raising cattle and crop farming. Research Note: He was the son of Melvin and Opal (Fehring) Tichenor. On July 1, 1960, he was united in marriage to Gloria Werbe. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Lloyd Tichenor. R. L. graduated from high school at Rocky Comfort, Missouri and received his Master's Degree from Sanford College in Alabama. During the Korean War he joined the United States Air Force, serving from July 11, 1952 until August 20, 1954. For several years he was employed as an industrial engineer at Ford Motor, RO Products, Sea-Tac (Kenworth) traveling from Kansas City to Washington, Northern Mexico and Alaska. For the last thirty years he had been self-employed at Acoustic Clean. R. L. was a member of Northgate Baptist Church since 1967 and he always put the Lord first in his life.
