Inscription: "Wife of Wm. R. Embrey" - Research Note: She was the daughter of Robert Wiatt "Wyatt" and Mary (Womack) Patton. Obit: Martha Jane (Patton) Embrey was born 29 May 1850; married Mr. William Rhodes Embrey about March 1869, and died 22 March 1876, aged 25 years 9 months and 22 days. Brother Embrey is left with 3 small children. William B., infant son of Brother William and Martha Jane Embrey, was born 18 March 1876 and died 18 March 1876. - William Rhodes Embrey was the son of Joseph Jackson Embrey and Amelia Ann Blythe. He second married Augusta Ellen Heilig and died in Newton Co., MO, buried at Dice Cemetery with his second wife. - Another Photo Note

He leaves a wife, 5 children and many relatives to mourn his loss. He married Charlotte Lamberson February 14, 1867 in Newton County, MO, daughter of Thomas and Luanna Lamberson. She was born August 1852, and died May 5,1881 in McDonald County, MO. Obit
