Research Note: He was son of the late Harley Benton Willoughby and Mary Eathel (Loving) Willoughby. Garry attended school in Pierce City and graduated with the class of 1968. He then furthered his education by attending Southwest Baptist University. Garry began his many years of ministry in Sarcoxie, pastoring at Morningside Baptist Church. In 1974, he and his family moved to Oklahoma, where he was Pastor of Lenapah Baptist Church. After moving back to southwest Missouri, Garry pastored in Chesapeake, South Greenfield, Carr Lane Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church in Exeter before being called to Temple Baptist Church in Monett. Garry also owned and operated Willoughby Roof Truss, which has been in operation for over forty years.
