Recently, she'd started looking back on how things used to be and made sure to tell all the kids and grandkids about how much had changed. Then, she'd say, when you wanted some milk, you'd go to the barn and milk the cow. Now you just go to Costco and buy a gallon. Then, when you needed some water you'd have to draw it up out of the well. Now, you just turn the sink on. Then, when you wanted eggs you'd go out to the coop and have to collect them. Now, you just go to Costco and buy your eggs. She had a hundred then and now's, and us kids are going to miss hearing them. | Census Fohn Funeral Home Phyllis Long Photo Diana Cope |
