NOTE: Beverly Matthews [deceased] was told several years ago that the Overton Cemetery, AKA: Hogeye Cemetery, was formerly known as the Oklahoma Union Cemetery many years ago. Some of the old timers pronounce it "Okrie Union". Directions: At Butterfield turn west off Hwy. 37 onto Hwy W, go 6 miles, turn left (south) on FR1040. The cemetery is 1/10 mile on the right. A special "Thank You" to Craig & Angela Burns for mowing, an keeping up the Cemetery up. |
