Research Note: Richard married Temperence Anna Brixey, daughter of James and Temperence Brixey, on Sept. 19, 1865 in Barry Co., MO. He enlisted as a private in Company K, Missouri 23rd Infantry Regiment in 1862 and was discharged in 1865. Also served in Co. B. Temperence is drawing his pension in the 1890 Veteran Census, post office, Roaring River, MO. She filed for his pension on Feb. 25, 1890. Also filed was James Fraer, grandson, (maybe Frazier?) minor, on Mar. 17, 1900 from Indian Territory. Richard was a son of Allen Harris and Nancy Rose. | Census MO Marriage Records Phyllis Long |
