Mr. Tabor then joined the US Navy as a Gunner, serving on the USS Pittsburgh and sailed the seven seas during the Korean War. In 1963 he married Billie McNeil in Huntsville, Arkansas. He worked most of his life in construction. He and Billie moved to the Shell Knob area in 1990 to retire and make their home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Tabor; five brothers; and two sisters. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Research Note: He was the son of Charles Herbert Talbott and Leila Gardner Talbott. He joined the Air Force in 1949 and served stateside during the Korean War working as an airplane mechanic. After his time in the military he met and married Fannie Harkness on December 4, 1953. Kendall felt a calling to go to Minnesota Bible College and graduated in 1959 with the purpose in mind to start the LeMars Church of Christ in LeMars, Iowa. Kendall has been instrumental in starting and ministering to churches in the Midwest. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Nellie Herbst, a brother, Keith (Sonny) Talbott, a son Dan Talbott, and a granddaughter Katie Robertson. Research Note: Shell Knob, Barry Co., MO resident. He was the son of Dorothy Jewell (Wooldridge) Taylor and the late United States Congressman Gene Taylor. Senator Taylor was a sixth-generation Missourian and was educated in the Sarcoxie Public School system and Missouri Southern University in Joplin. Senator Taylor was preceded in death by his father, Congressman Gene Taylor; his brother-in-law, Buster Cobine; and by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Senator Taylor was a businessman before he began his public service career and managed the family business, Gene Taylor Ford in Sarcoxie, Missouri, and was involved in the beef cattle farming operation. Mr. Taylor began his public service career when he was appointed by former State Treasurer Wendell Bailey as the director of public affairs for Office of Missouri State Treasurer. He was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2002. During his two-year term, he served as the vice-chairman on the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Committee and as a majority member of the House Committee on Appropriations for Transportation and Economic Development and the House Committee on Job Creation and Economic Development. He also served on the Republican Policy Development Committee. In November of 2004 Mr. Taylor was elected to represent Barry, Lawrence, McDonald, Ozark, Stone and Taney counties as the State Senator of the 29th Senatorial District in Missouri's 93rd General Assembly. He was vice-chairman of the Senate Committee on Economic Development, Tourism and Local Government and served on the Senate Committees on Aging, Families, Mental and Public Health, Ways and Means, and Aging. Senator Taylor's legislative priorities this session included ensuring that promises made regarding road improvement projects are kept and that funding was directed to correcting southwest Missouri's transportation problems, protecting democracy by requiring proof of U. S. citizenship before registering to vote, and developing a long-term funding solution to the shortfalls of the prior education budget formula. Senator and Mrs. Taylor have resided on Table Rock Lake at Shell Knob, Missouri, for several years. They are members of several Chambers of Commerce throughout the 29th District, and Farm Bureau. Senator Taylor is past president of the Barry County Republican Club, a member of Shell Knob Lions Club, and is a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. The family attended First Baptist Church in Cassville. Subsequent to graduating high school, Phillip served proudly in the United States Army, going on to obtain an aviation degree and a private pilot license. Phillip was a man of many professional interests, becoming a certified welder, crane operator and a registered emergency medical technician. On December 17, 1996, in Narrows, Virginia, Phillip married the love of his life, Chasity O'Dell. Phillip was a DJ, a songwriter, a drummer, a fisherman, and a hunter. Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Frank Taylor; and two granddaughters, Willow Jo Taylor and Kali Cook. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at White Funeral Home in Cassville Missouri with burial to follow at the family farm in Golden. - Experimental craft hits home after 500-foot flight - A Golden man died on Thursday after an ultralight experimental aircraft he was piloting crashed shortly after takeoff. Kenneth Taylor, 53, of Golden, died in the crash that occurred at about 3 p.m. Danny Boyd, Barry County sheriff, said Taylor took off from a strip near Highway J in Golden, traveling about 500 feet in the air before crashing into a nearby home and ejecting Taylor from the craft. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Because of the plane's size, Taylor was not required to have a Federal Aviation Association license or registration. However, he does have a license and is experienced flying other aircraft. No one was at the home the plane struck, and damage to the home was minimal. Research Note: She was a long term resident of Galena and Washburn, Missouri where she resided with her husband Sonny Tuter. She was the daughter of Edford Walker and Thelma Christina Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Tuter Jr; brother, Teddy Walker, of Idaho She was united in marriage to Harold (Sonny) Tuter on May, 1, 1957 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Darlene and Harold moved here from California to Springfield, Missouri in 1966. Darlene and Harold owned their own business in Galena, Missouri for several years prior to moving to Washburn, Missouri where she retired in 2003. She was a member of Stone County Historical Society and helped with the preservation of the "Y" bridge. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville. White Funeral Home

Research Note: He was the son of Harold and Lena Pauline (Irvine) Tuter, Sr. He was united in marriage to Thelma Darlene Walker on May 1, 1957 in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a veteran and had served as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. He was a former Greene County deputy and a former chief of police of Fairgrove. He and Darlene moved to the Washburn area from Galena 11 years ago. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Tuter.
