Also preceding her in death were one brother; three sisters and a great grandchild, Cody Matthew Benbrook. Bobbie, as most people knew her, received her elementary education in and around Battle Creek, Michigan, junior high and part of high school in California and then moved to an Army Base at Kaiserslautern, Germany, and graduated from American High School there in 1954. For many years she worked as a waitress in various cities and then became a school bus driver of American Military Buses for the Civil Service in Germany. In 1975, she moved to Mountain Home, Idaho, where she met and married the late Thomas Fenton. Bobbie resided in Monett, Missouri from 1991 until 2005, when she moved to Shell Knob to make her home. She was a member of Central Community United Methodist Church in Shell Knob and was very active in SOLO'S, having served as Secretary and Treasurer. SOLO'S had been her life support, changing her life. - Note at findagrave.com says "Roberta Lee Colby was cremated and her ashes spread on the mountain tops of northern Idaho where she loved to camp and fish in accordance with her desires as stated in her will." He married Dottie Grothe on May 26, 1977, in South Dakota. He was preceded in death by one daughter. In his late teens, Dwayne enjoyed working at the Hidden Valley Ranch; later he was employed as a mechanic at a radiator shop, both in Washington State. P In the mid-1960's he and Kenny Collins ran a mobile repair business named T.A.T. Repair in the Logan area. During the 1970's, Dwayne and his friend, Dale Browning, owned and operated the CB Barn in Woodbine. P. He had also worked for UPS, Capital Construction, and Volcan Industries. Later in Magnolia, he owned and operated Jacobsen Radiator. P When Dwayne moved to Missouri in 1997, he continued to work as a mechanic. He married Ida Helen Ballinger in 1962. He married Victoria E. Moore in 1964, divorced in 1969. He married Mary K. Coxgrove in 1971. On May 26, 2007, Dwayne and his wife Dottie would have been married 30 years. John worked for his father running the shop, ordering parts, and running the wrecker service. On October 1, 1950 he married Bobbie J. (Dyer), and to this union two sons were born. John and Bobbie moved to Cassville, Missouri in August 1963 and purchased an auto parts store, where he remained until he retired at age 75. He then sold the store, but stayed on a couple of years to help transition to the new owners. - His son Bo James is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville, MO. John may also be buried there. Mike received his education at Shawnee Mission West where he graduated from high school and then attended various culinary and wine courses throughout his career. He was director of food and beverage at the Crystal Dining Room in the Crescent Hotel for seventeen years. He took great pride in his career and loved serving food. He greeted everyone who walked in the dining room with a smile. In his last years of life, he cultivated a passion for art. He journaled, practiced calligraphy, and painted daily. One passage recurred as his mantra for life. It was titled, "Choose to Live in Joy." Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. He received his diploma from Quinlan High School, 1943, and earned a bachelor's degree from Asbury College, 1950, and later, a master's degree from Wichita State University. Marvin worked on the railroads in Texas during his senior year of high school, learning the Morse code which he later used as a young soldier in WW II, serving as a paratrooper and communications tech in the 101st Airborne Division. He married his college sweetheart, Ruth Kenrick, May 30, 1951. Marvin and his wife Ruth were educators and made their home in Wichita, Kansas where they raised their son. Ruth and Mike built a family lake home on Table Rock Lake in Shell Knob, MO. Marvin and Ruth moved to the lake permanently in 1987, upon retirement from the Wichita Public School System. Marvin and Ruth were long time members of Central Community United Methodist Church in Shell Knob. Ruth passed away in 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Kenrick Johns, parents Roy and Laverne Johns, parents-in-law Harold and Dorothy Kenrick, brother Donald Ray Johns, sister-in-law Colette Johns, and brothers-in-law Howard DeBock and Robert MacLennan. Research Note: She was the daughter of Harold E. and Dorothy M. (Baker) Kenrick. On May 30, 1951, in Wilmore, Kentucky, she was united in marriage to Marvin Lowell Johns. Preceding her in death were her parents. Ruth graduated from high school in Salamanca, New York. In 1951 she received her AB Degree with a diploma in Piano from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky and then received her MA in music education from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. For thirty-three years Ruth taught vocal music in the Wichita public school system. In 1987, she and Marvin moved from Wichita to make their home in Shell Knob. Even though she had retired from teaching, Ruth remained active with her musical talents. She was involved in the Messiah Project, organized the Ozark Choral, led the Melodears for nineteen years and coached voice at LUC Boys Ranch. She was the founder of the Springfield Chapter of Alpha-One Foundation and was active in various other volunteer activities. She was a member of Central Community United Methodist Church, where she played piano and organ and was a substitute choral director. Burial will be 10:00 A.M. On April 7, 2006 he was united in marriage to Amanda Hargis. He was preceded in death by his father, Lucky Johnson. He graduated from Deltona High School in Deltona, Florida in 2003. He moved to this area in 2015 and was currently working for the Amazon Fulfillment Center as a production assistant in Republic, Missouri. Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. - Patrol attributes wet roadway to Hwy. 76 crash - An Exeter man died on Monday in a wreck at 6:40 p.m. on Highway 76, one mile west of Exeter. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, James Johnson, 37, of Exeter, was driving a 2006 Mini Cooper westbound when his vehicle slid on the wet roadway and struck a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, being driven by ------ Lewis, 35, of Stella. Kimmie married Jerry Jackson in 1962 in Neosho and with him raised two children in Neosho and Monett until Jerry's death in 1985. She began a legacy of hard work and positive work ethics as a soda jerk in high school, continuing at Buddy L, and later at a family-owned dry cleaners in Neosho. Ever-willing when called upon, Kimmie's dependability and capability to complete any task allowed her to be valued in family-owned businesses Roderick Arms and Tool Corporation and Jiffy Machine Products in Monett. Kimmie married Ray Johnson in 1987 in Monett and their nearly 36-year marriage is a story of dedicated and timeless love. Together they built the Western Sizzlin' in Monett and owned and operated the restaurant for 14 years. In retirement, Kimmie and Ray split their time between Monett and Falfurrias, Texas, enjoying special friendships with people nationwide. Research Note: He was the son of William Chris and Rose Lee (Gibson) Johnson, he was the eldest son and one of nine children. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. As a child he lived in Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky and Minnesota. Serving in the US Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky he received an honorable discharge on August 3, 1948. William met and fell in love with Luella Evelyn Brown. They were married on July 16, 1949 in Minneapolis, MN. He was working at Flour City Ornamental Iron Works in Minneapolis in 1956 when he was recruited to work for Hughes Aircraft Company in Southern California. He worked first at Culver City and then transferred to Fullerton shortly after. Bill worked for Hughes Aircraft Company for 31 years, starting as a Sheet Metal Mechanic and retiring in 1988 as Senior Research Assistant. In the course of his career he held multiple security clearance levels and worked on many high profile projects including Apollo communications systems, AWACS Radar, AMRAAM missile system and many special projects for NASA, NSA, US Air Force and US Navy. His work took him on many adventures including working aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise and traversing the Bermuda Triangle and the Panama Canal on a guided missile cruiser. Bill and Luella lived in Fullerton 22 years, and in Anaheim for 24 years. During this time Bill began investing in real estate and started several businesses including Surplus Electronic Test Equipment in Fullerton, and ABC Electronics in Pomona CA. Since the 1950's, Bill was an avid HAM radio operator, call sign WA6VPR. He had a 60 foot antenna installed at his home and made contacts all over the world. Working with the Navy MARS program during the Viet Nam War, he was able to place radio-phone patch calls between deployed military and their families back home. In 2003 Bill and Lou moved to Shell Knob Missouri where they became owners of the Big Bobber Resort on Table Rock Lake. Later, they opened Vintage Ozark Antique store where Bill assisted in operations until his passing. Before his beloved wife's passing, they were able to celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary, an achievement they were both proud of. In addition to his parents and all of his siblings, he was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, Cathy Anne Johnson, and one grandson, Christopher Michael Lunsford. Research Note: He was the son of Donald B. and Lorene (Coones) Jones. Preceding him in death were his father, Donald and one great-nephew, Pierce. Coming from Adrian, Missouri, Jeffrey spent the last twenty years in Barry County. He was employed at Thorco as a production worker for several years. His nickname was "Lucky" as he was born on a Friday the 13th and had five sisters to contend with while growing up. She owned and operated her own beauty parlor in New York state for 41 years, was a Sunday School teacher at Johnson City First Baptist Church, and was a member of Spiritual Streams Church in Cassville. On December 30, 1937, she married Edwin Paul Jones, who preceded her in death in April 1977. She is survived by four daughters; ten grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. On October 23, 1965, he was united in marriage to Ethel (Scheulen) Hartley. Mr. Jones was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oxford, Kansas, and also served on the city council and as mayor of Oxford for a total of 12 years. Research Note: He was the son of Glenn and Blanche (Stahl) Jump. Up until September 2017 he was a very active 95 year old who was an "avid outdoorsman." From childhood he grew up in the Catskill Mountains of New York and upon graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for four years including during World War II at the age of 18. After his time served he ended up in Arizona where he established his own air conditioning and sheet metal business in Mesa for thirty-five years. He was also a founding member of the American Legion Post #39 in Gilbert, Arizona. Bud was a member for seventy years and received a certificate of lifetime membership. He retired from his business and built a cabin in Overgaard, Arizona, in the White Mountains where he was the closest to God and nature as any man could be. On July 7, 1987, he was united in marriage to JoeAnn McMillen in Kauai, Hawaii. Preceding Bud in death was his parents, grandparents, his one and only brother, Leighton Jump; one son-in-law, Darrel Elzey; one step-son-in-law, Bert Nelson; and a host of great family and friends.
