Carey's Child Dies of Scarlet Fever: A 4 1/2 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Carey of this city died Sunday of scarlet fever. Sad to see a sweet young life snatched away to eternity, but her troubles are over and she is basking in that sweet spirit land where little angels dwell and shout sweet hosannas forever. Rev. Edward Chappell conducted funeral services and the remains were interred in the Bowsher Cemetery southeast of this city, Monday evening. Death Certificate

Carey received a message Thursday that her husband who has been for several weeks at the Webb City sanitarium for treatment for tuberculosis, was dead. She left on the evening train for Webb City. The body was sent to Cassville and interred in the Bowsher cemetery east of town Saturday following funeral services conducted by Rev. J. T. Brattin. Death Certificate
