| Research Note | Mr. and Mrs. James Franklin Ellis of Washburn will celebrate their 57th anniversary with their immediate family at their home Sunday, December 7. They will have open house from 2 to 4 pm. James Franklin and Sarah M. Ellis were married at the home of Justice of the Peace, Tom Vanzandt, on December 7, 1912. They have four sons, two daughters, 20 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Research Note: Sarah Margaret Ellis, Route 1, Washburn, MO, Barry County, Ash Twp., died at age 73 years old. She was born April 7, 1900 and was married to Frank J. Ellis of Washburn, MO. Her father was Ben Mahurin and mother Lottie Pendergraft. She died March 12, 1974 at the Bates Memorial Hospital in Bentonville, Benton Co., AR. Her funeral was March 16, 1974 and Culver's Chapel took care of the details. Burial was in Dent Cemetery. Page 116, Volume 16, T & I Enterprise - Ted Roller |
