Research Note Rado Fisher's Blacksmith Shop

Photo was probably taken about about 1900 - 1905

This business was located on Business Route 37 where Hwy 76 and 112 intersect at the turn of the century.

Rever Rado Fisher, the owner, was born March 22, 1862 in Union Co., IL, and died at age 85 years, 6 months and 3 days old on Sept. 25, 1947 in the Barry County Hospital in Cassville and was buried in Corinth Cemetery.

His father was M. N. Fisher and his mother was listed as Dillo on his death certificate. Mrs. Otis Fisher was the informant.

Rado's son, Otis owned the shop after Rado had it and he relocated it to another building that was located east of town. In 1958 when Otis retired that ended the era of blacksmithing in Cassville.
