Winona, Minnesota Scrapbook

The following photographs were contributed by Jean who writes

"My great-great-grandmother was Caroline Warner Whiton Beman (1829-1902). Her children attended the State Normal school in Winona. She paid for her children's education with the money she earned from her wood lot."

"I have scanned these photos from an old album. I believe these are photos that Katherine and Louise Beman exchanged with students and instructors from the Normal school. There are several photos, unidentified, which were also taken by Hoard & Tenney in Winona."

These photographs were taken at
Hoard & Tenney Portraits, Established 1871, Winona, Minn.
