*Obituary Henry C. Erickson

Saturday afternoon funeral service was conducted in Augustana Lutheran church for Henry Carl Erickson, 82, who died Jan. 7 in Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center.

Rev. Ted Kunze officiated at the service, and organist was Cecelia Kulseth.

Pall bearers were David Blackstad, William McCuen, Michael Kraft, Joel, James and Jon Wellnitz. Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery.

He was born April 9, 1904 in rural St. James to John and Anna (Lindquist) Erickson. He attended school in rural St. James and also St. James high school.

On March 2, 1927 he married Naemi Noren in Long Lake Lutheran church. They farmed in Long Lake township until moving into St. James in 1955. He was a mechinist at Scherr Tumico.

A life long member of Augustana Lutheran church, his hobbies included woodworking and carpentry.

Erickson was preceded in death by his wife in 1979, and also by two brothers.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Norma) Wellnitz of St. James and Mrs. Raymond (Carol) Kraft of Brewster; a son, Donald of Worthington.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Melvin of St. James; and two sisters, Marie Wacker of St. James and Adeline Lucht of Wenatchee, Wash.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Pease Funeral Home.
