Mona Simcox

Minnetonka, MN - Mona (Griffin) Simcox, 86, died in Minnetonka, Feb. 28, 2001.

Mona was born Oct. 2, 1915 in Northcote.

She graduated from Hallock High School in 1933 and soon moved to the Twin Cities. She enrolled in Beauty School in St. Paul.

After completion, Mona made her home in Minneapolis and a brief time in Denver, Colo. During World War II and later, she operated the city street cars in St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Mona is survived by her sister Lorna and her husband, Dr. Frederick Bullard.

Mona was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, her only daughter, Bonita Rae, her sister Ruth, and brothers Walter and Fredric.

Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, St. Peter.

A memorial service was held April 9 at the Good Samaritan Care Center, Waconia.
