Obituary from Lancaster Newspaper:

Per J. Grahnquist died following an illness due to cancer, at the memorial hospital, on Friday, Sept. 7th. Grahnquist was born at Jersfo, Sweden, Dec. 18th 1859, and was married to Brita Jonson in 1879. He came to this country in June 1909 and located at Lancaster where he made his home up to the time of his death. Surviving, he leaves his widow and three children as follows: K. J. Grahnquist, Lancaster; Mrs. Wm. H. Gatheridge, Humboldt; and Mrs. Wilbur Clow, Orleans. Also one brother and sister in Sweden.

The funeral was conducted from the Zion Lutheran church at Lancaster, and his remains were interred at the Sikar cemetary in the Town of Granville, Rev. J. Elmer Dahlgren officiating.


Obituary from newspaper (Lancaster??)

Karl Grahquist, formerly of the Orleans-Lancaster vicinity died at Omaha, Neb. February 9, 1960 age 77 years. The family left this area about 17 years ago.

Survivors are: the widow, and daughters, Mrs. Moore (Brita) of Georgia; Julius of Long Beach, Calif, and Pehr at home in Omaha.

Two sisters also survive - Mrs. Wilbur Clow of Lancaster and Mrs. Henry Gatheridge of Hallock.

Pehr and Brita were active in 4-H circles, years ago and exhibited their products of the St. Vincent fair annually.
