Photos by Joyce Gardner 2005.
We didn't linger in Kolberg as we wanted to get back to Gross Jestin
to take photos inside the church before the 6 p.m. mass. We arrived
about two minutes before 5:30 and saw the church was open.
Unfortunately as Anetta and I entered the church, we saw they were
having an extra, "special," mass which I assumed was about to begin.
We were behind glass doors in the entry and I turned around to take
a photo of the arched stained glass window above the door. I took
two photos toward the alter before I realized the priest was
kneeling there in a gold and red cloak. I was taking photos without
flash and quickly took two photos directed along the side inside
walls of the church but also picked up reflection in the glass. We
then quickly left as silently as we had come into the entry.
