Old houses near the center of Neuwedell, Kr. Arnswalde (now
Drawno). Most of the town was spared serious damage in WWII.

Entering the church at Neuwedell/Drawno. This cruciform
(cross-shaped) church dates from the 1690's. A serious fire in 1690
destroyed the previous church and much of the town also.

The altar of the church as it appears today.

South side of church with baptismal font and wall plaque in memory
of Neuwedell's war dead from the First World War.

Pews and balcony in church at Neuwedell / Drawno. The organ does
not date from the pre-war times.

Neuwedell/Drawno is at the shore of a lake called the jezioro
Dubie (formerly Dpsee). This lake is actually part of the
Drage/Drawa river which flows through the area. Today's tourists
enjoy kayaking on the lake and walks in the national park
(Drawienski Park Narodowy, established by the Polish government in 1990).

This bridge (traditionally called the Polish bridge) spans a very
narrow part of this lake.

A outdoor plaque giving a short history of Neuwedell/Drawno. The
illustration depicts the Neuwedell castle in the 1600's.

The Brckgut, one of three estates owned by the local nobility
(von Wedel) in the German times. It is now a private home.
