Sign for Leopoldshagen. This village was created by King Friedrich
II (The Great) in 1749 for 30 �full-farmers� and was named
Leopoldshagen in 1751 after Leopold von Dessau (Prince and Field
Marshall). Settlers came from Mecklenburg and Swedish Pomerania.
