HINDERSCHEIT ~ GEISEN

Im looking for Hinderscheit. There is a family that shows up in Mahnomen in the 1930 census. I think this is the family that I want. The daughter, Marcella, married into the Jacob Geisen family & lived in New Prague Minnesota. Any information that confirms this is welcome.

THOMPSON ~ WILSON

I would like to know more information regarding the settling of Mahnomen. I was told that my Great-Great Grandfather started the town with the First Bank. Thompson was the name. They had two twin daughters named Marie and Mildred who, by the way, lived to be 99 and 100. Mildred married LAW - Leonard Alfred Wilson. They had a son named Leonard Alfred Wilson, Jr., my dad. Can you please tell me more information or where I can research it?

Sincerely,
Mia Wilson

BIESEMEIER

My great grandfather's name was John Biesemeier. He married Cordellia Leland or Ward. They lived in Mahnomen around the 1800s. One of their sons was named Clifford. He is my grandfather and was born in 1909. Can anyone provide more information?

FIRST LUTHERAN CEMETERY

I'm trying to help my Godmother find a map or layout of the First Lutheran Cemetery in Mahnomen. Her parents are buried there and had 2 extra plots next to them. At one time there was some confusion where her father did indeed buy 4 plots or just 2. I understand that confusion was fixed and he indeed did buy 4. She and her last surviving sibling requested the cemetery to sell those 2 plots with 2 restrictions and donate the money to the hospital there in Mahnomen for the Family Waiting Rooms and a plaque be put up in memory of her parents. I'm hoping in finding a map of the cemetery we will know if indeed the plots were sold and to whom. If you know of such a map either online or hard copy I would very much appreciate your contacting me with the information on how I might get a copy. Contacting the cemetery has not been very helpful.

Thank you for your time, Vickie Gangness
