WAS LOCATED SOUTH OF THIS RAVINE.
THE EARLIEST SETTLERS AND A FEW INDIANS
WERE BURIED THERE UNTIL ABOUT 1850.

Location:
St. Peter, MN 169 North, 1.5. miles north of Country Kitchen to the turn off at Old Minnesota Ave. (Nicollet Co. Rd. 36) on west side of State Hwy 169. Parking straight ahead. Take walking trail. The Old French Cemetery is on the right. The plaque and stone marking the signing of "The Treaty of Traverse de Sioux," July 23, 1851, is just ahead.
