Notes for Needham Everett Waddell


Multiple sources show his wife's name as Mary L., but Find A Grave (listing for Needham Everett Waddell) shows his spouse as Virginia Graves Waddell. There is a probate package for him on Ancestry.com, "Missouri Wills and Probate Records 1766-1988", which shows Virginia Graves Waddell as his widow. The probate package lists his children, so there is no doubt it's the right person. The probate package is for the Probate Court of Jackson County, MO, and it says that N. Everett Waddell was late of the county of Jackson. It seems like this means he died there, but Find A Grave says he died in Manhattan, NY. He and Mary must have been divorced. Note also that the article about his father (see notes for John Alexander Low Waddell) says that he died in 1920, but the Find A Grave and probate records show 1927. Maybe 1920 was a typo.
