Bill Vincent's SANDIDGE-L post (descendants of Captain John Sandidge) lists him as General Pleasant Sandidge. Martin Sandidge (SANDIDGE-L post, 7 Dec 2002) gives his middle name as Wood; however, in the Martin Sandidge manuscript he gives no middle name or initial.

His gravestone says General Pleasant Sandidge, born Dec 19, 1791, died July 3, 1849 (from the York manuscript).
