Notes for Theresa Berry
Most sources spell her first name Theresa, but her funeral memorial card spells it Therese and her death certificate and 1940 census spell it Teresa. I was inclined to go with Therese since I think that's the more French version, but even the earlier Canadian censuses (see below) have Theresa, so I guess I'll go with that. Last name of Berry is from the Colorado Genealogical Society's "Colorado Marriages, 1858-1939" CD-ROM, which lists a marriage between Domenec Lino & Theresa Berry (marriage license dated 4 Jul 1881). Rose's marriage license for her marriage with Charles Nash (Ancestry.com, "New York County Marriage Records, 1847-1849, 1907-1936) lists her parents as Dominick Lino and Theresa Berry.
The name on her death certificate is Teresa Lino. Died of coronary thrombosis. The death certificate says she had been in Canon City for seven months before her death. Presumably she moved there to stay with her son George after her husband's death.
The death certificate lists her place of birth as Gault, Canada. I find no record of a Gault, Canada, but there is a Galt, Canada, in Ontario, and the 1940 census lists her birth place as Ontario, Canada. In the 1861 and 1871 Canadian censuses, I found the family of Robert Berry (spelled Berrey in 1861) living in Galt, with a daughter named Theresa (spelled Terressa in 1861) who was born in 1860. This must be she and her family!

Name listed as Theresa Lino, 39 years old. Born Jun 1860 in French Canada. Had 5 children, 3 still living. Father and mother born in France. She was a naturalized citizen.
