Waterford Genealogical Society

Waterford Twp., Oakland Co., Michigan, USA

Our Objective

The society will promote and encourage an interest in genealogy among it's members and the general public. Working closely with the Waterford Township Public Library, the society aims to educate and enhance research opportunities.

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

The Waterford Twp Public Library is a FamilySearch Affiliate Library.

The Family History Library has extensive collections of primary genealogical and historical records from around the world. Digital Images: Through this partnership with FamilySearch and the Family History Library, researchers at the WTPL Library can now view digital images of record sets that were previously only available only at FamilySearch Affiliate Libraries, Family History Centers or the Family History Library.

The regular face to face meetings of the Waterford Genealogical Society have been cancelled due to the

COVID 19 VIRUS  and the temporary closing of the Waterford Twp. public library.  However, Our hope is that face to face meetings will resume at the Waterford Township Public Library in September
