Smith, Isaac S. O., was first laid away in this cemetery. There is no marker and the original plat was burned when the sexton�s house burned a number of years ago, which destroyed records. There was no cemetery when he died, so Ichabod S. Nelson, a tavern keeper, donated two acres for a burial ground, providing the neighbors would fence it. The location of his grave is known for his dau-in-law buried on his lot has a gravestone.
