Description: "This hardcover, two volume set contains families traced from France to Quebec and on the Detroit River Region which includes the shores of the St. Clair River, Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River down to Maumee Bay near Toledo, Ohio, from Port Huron, Michigan and Sarnia, Ontario south to Monroe, Michigan and Amherstburg, Ontario. Fr. Christian Denissen, a priest who came to Detroit from Holland in 1872, searched the Parish registers at the turn of the century. The Detroit Society for Genealogical Research first published the genealogy, using the New England system, in 1976; a revised edition was printed in 1987. The book is about 1500 pages including an index of about 40,000 names for the period of 1701-1936, (www.dsgr.org/)."
