Army Spc. Joel L. Bertoldie "Fallen Heroes" of Operation Iraqi Freedom Army Spc. Joel L. Bertoldie , Age: 20, of Independence, Missouri. Bertoldie was thrown from the military vehicle he was driving in Fallujah, Iraq when an explosive device was detonated underneath. Bertoldie was assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 4-64 Armor Battalion, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on July 18, 2003. Remembering our Troops who are fighting for our Freedom Support our Troops! UNITED WE STAND!
