Welcome to the Sterling Heights Genealogical and Historical Society

We were the Sterling Heights Genealogical and Historical Society,
located in Macomb County, Michigan USA.

Sadly, due to decreased membership we have decided
to disband our society.

Our last membership year was 2005-2006 and Fall 2006 was spent wrapping up business. This site will stay up for a time to redirect those wishing to find the remaining items of our collection, and any back issues of The Ancestral Tree newsletter and "publications for sale" still available for purchase.

Our remaining property has been deposited
with the Mt. Clemens Public Library in Mt. Clemens, Macomb Co., Michigan.

Newsletter back issues and "publications for sale"
are available for purchase through the
Macomb County Genealogy Group.

The Sterling Heights Genealogical and Historical Society was formed in 1980 from a Sterling Heights Foxfire Series meeting on the subject of genealogy. From a handful of people at the beginning some 24 years ago, more than 200 people have been members at various times over the years.
