MUSEUM INFORMATION 2006: The PAHS Museum will be open from Labor Day thru Memorial Day. Hours have been announced as 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m, Monday thru Saturday.

MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of the Pickford Area Historical Society is the collection and preservation of objects, artifacts, oral histories, written and filmed documents and items relating to the history of the Pickford, Michigan area for the purpose of exhibition, education, and research in order to increase our knowledge of the history and development of the Pickford area which is a unique cultural resource.

To fulfill the mission for which the Pickford Area Historical Society was formed, a building, to be called the Pickford Area Historical Museum, has been purchased and is in the process of being restored to house the objects, artifacts, and other items relating to the history of Pickford area to create an enviroment for young and old alike to explore and experience local history where artifacts and exibits take on a deeper meaning through its educational programs and where residents and visitors can make a connection with the past.
