Shirley Doris Widener daughter of Charles Emory Widener and Alta Frances Breeding was born 18 Nov 1927 in Columbus, Stillwater County, Montana and died 06 Aug 2003 at Rex Hospital, Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina.  A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 16 2003 at The Cremation Society of the Carolinas. Shirley, was a dedicated genealogist. She was the author of several books on the Widener Family of Virginia. She died after losing a second bout with cancer.
