"Services for Mrs. Francis May Bennie, 80, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wright's Funeral Home with burial in Greenleaf Cemetery.
"Mrs. Bennie died Tuesday at 5:26 p.m. at 1101 W Baker St. here following a long illness. She was at the home of a daughter when she died.
"Born June 7, 1889 in Kentucky, she was a Baptist and a longtime member of the Sunset Baptist Church. She married George A. Bennie Dec. 8 1907 in Brown County. He died July 24, 1946.

"Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Gracie Weatherman, Mrs. Monroe Bilbrey, Mrs. Leroy Welch and Mrs. James Taylor, all of Brownwood; three sons, Jim (Buck) and Charlie Bennie, both of Brownwood and Ollie Bennie of Cisco; three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Roberts and Mrs. C. D. Duncan, both of Brownfield and Mrs. C. C. Moon of Dallas; one brother, J. M. Van Huss of Brownwood; 20 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren"
