Clyde Beason Thackerson son of Charlie Albert Thackerson and Susan Alberta "Bertie" Stewart was born 24 Nov 1926 in Wayland, Stephens County, Texas  and died 14 Feb 2014 in Abilene, Taylor County, Texas. He married LaJoy Fennell 15 May 1988 in Ranger, Eastland County, Texas. His first wife was Jaunell. He is buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Cisco, Eastland County, Texas.

Clyde B. Thackerson, 87 of Abilene, passed from this life in Abilene February 14, 2014. Funeral services will be Monday February 17 at 2:00 PM in Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel in Cisco Officiated by Matt Thackerson burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The Family will be at the funeral home from 1PM until service time to receive friends.

Clyde was born November 24, 1926 in Wayland, Texas to C.A. and Bertie (Stewart) Thackerson. He graduated high school and attended college before serving in Leyte, Philippines with the Army during WWII. He worked for Welex as a Supervisor of Field Services until his retirement. His first wife Jaunell preceded him in death and on May 15, 1988 he married LaJoy Fennell in Ranger Texas. Clyde was a Member of the Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife LaJoy Lester Thackerson of Abilene; children Clyde Thackerson Jr. and wife Betsy of Eldorado ; James Thackerson and wife Jeanie of Abilene; Karen Haskins of Clyde; Don Lester and wife Sharon of Clyde; Terry Lester of McGregor; Brother Roy Harvey Thackerson and wife Donna of Ranger; 14 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister Susie Decker and Brothers Howard, Troy, Oscar Raymond, and Bert Wayne Thackerson.
