Ruby Mae Shafer daughter of Amos Franklin Shafer and Martha Jane DeBusk was born 17 Sep 1930 in Dublin, Erath County, Texas and died 10 Jan 2014 in Providence Hospital, Waco, McLennan County, Texas. She married Lee Edward Allsup son of Daniel William Allsup and Millie Welden James 21 May 1948 in Dublin, Erath County, Texas. He was born 15 Sep 1927 in De Leon, Comanche County, Texas and died 20 Apr 2008 in De Leon, Comanche County, Texas. She married John Grey and Jim Pratt. Lee Edward Allsup and Ruby Mae Shafer are buried at De Leon City Cemetery, De Leon, Comanche County, Texas.

Message from Grace Everhart (Ruby’s daughter) at about 11pm last night saying “Mother just passed peacefully at 10:38”. She was in Providence Hospital in Waco. She had surgery there very early yesterday morning,  10 January 2014.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in De Leon Cemetery. Pastor Judy Richmond and Brother Kenneth Wilson will officiate the service.

Family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
