Everett Duain Shafer was the son of Amos Franklin Shafer and Martha Jane DeBusk. He married Norma Jean Neal daughter of Percy C. Neal and Goldie Isabell Cole. He was born 19 September 1927 in Dublin, Erath County, Texas and died 14 March 1996 in Pasadena, Harris County, Texas and was buried 16 Mar 1996 in Live Oak Cemetery, Dublin, Erath County, Texas.
