Vernon Helms son of Christopher Elijah "Lige" Helms and Mary Mahaley "Minnie" Wesley was born 26 January 1902 and died 31 March 1968. He married Birdie Lee Harris daughter of Robert Emmett Harris and Tennessee Lucrecia "Dink" Brown 10 Mar 1924. She was born 25 Aug 1903 in Burkett, Coleman County, Texas and died 23 May 1996. 2  ---  Milton Gill Helms born 12 Jan 1937 in McLennan County, Texas and died in 2004. He was last seen on June 9, 2004 in Burkett, Texas. It is presumed that he is dead, but no body was ever found. There was a memorial service at Burkett Cemetery on Saturday June 25th at 2:30 p.m.
Gill has a stone with a marker next to his parents, but his body was never found. He was adopted
