John Helms and wife, Julia Ann Francis Westerman built a new home in 1929 on their Sierra Alto Ranch 38 miles east of in Hudspeth and El Paso County, Texas. The rock house still stands today. Both John and Julia are buried on the ranch. Photo taken after home complete, with trees and fence, date unknown. It was also a postcard. Note the name on the front, “Modern Texas Ranch House.
