Billie Helms, son of John Elias Helms and Julia Ann Francis Westerman, was born 16 Jul 1915 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas and died 20 Oct 1987 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. He married Thelma Owen, daughter of Newel Franklin Owen and Vernie Elma Wells, on 16 Dec 1934 in Las Cruces, Dona Ana County, New Mexico.
