William "Willie" Elias Helms son of Christopher Elijah "Lige" Helms and Mary Mahaley "Minnie" Wesley was born 24 Apr 1894 in Coleman County, Texas and died 31 Jan 1979 in Lockney, Floyd County, Texas. He married Martha Alice Underwood daughter of George Washington Underwood and Eliza Ann Rodgers 01 Dec 1916 in Snyder, Scurry County, Texas. He married Annette C. Johnson in 1936. She was born 12 Aug 1902 in Greer County, Oklahoma and died 02 Feb 2002 in Texas. All three of them are buried at Resthaven Cemetery, Quitaque, Briscoe County, Texas.

He is buried at Resthaven Cemetery, Quitaque, Briscoe County, Texas  and she is buried at Tell Methodist Cemetery, Tell, Childress County, Texas
