Robert Lee Van Huss son of Daniel Dickerson Van Huss and Sarah Caroline Van Huss was born 04 Mar 1880 in Lee County, Virginia and died  09 Feb 1920. He married Susan J. Matthews daughter of Asa Matthews and Georgia Lovell 20 Jul 1903 in Brown County, Texas. She was born 28 Feb 1884 and died 08 Jul 1963. They are both buried at Voss Cemetery, Brown County, Texas.

Now comes your petitioner Sue VanHuss, who resides in Coleman County, Texas, the wife of R L VanHuss Decd and respectfully shows to the court that her husband died in Coleman County, Texas 9th day of Feby 1920 ; that the said R L VanHuss left surviving him the following children to-wit; Earl VanHuss a boy 15 years old; Mabel VanHuss a girl 13 years old; Geo. VanHuss a boy 11 years old; Lee VanHuss a boy 9 years old; Ellen VanHuss a girl 7 years old; Dorothy VanHuss a girl 5 years old all of whom reside in Coleman County, Texas; that there is a community estate between the said R L VanHuss decd husband and myself; that said R L VanHuss died intestate and was at the time of his death a resident citizen of Coleman County, Texas.

That the principal property belonging to the community estate of myself and my decd husband is situated and located in Coleman County , Texas.

Therefore your petitioner asks the court to appoint three appraisers to appraise said estate as in other administrations.

ELECTRA - Edna Mabel Auldridge,
92, died Tuesday, April 6, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Nichols of Southside Baptist in Wichita Falls, the Rev. Tom Medley of United Methodist Church of Electra and the Rev. Jack Riley of First Baptist Church of Electra officiating. Burial will be in Electra Memorial Park by Dutton Funeral Home of Electra.

Mrs. Auldridge was born in Brown County and attended school in Liday. Forty years ago, she moved to Electra from Clarendon. She had been employed as a cook for several panhandle ranches and was custodian for several churches in Electra. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She married James Gilbert Auldridge in 1925 at Liday. He died in 1991. Survivors include a son, Eugene Auldridge of Electra; a daughter, Mary Malone of Lebanon, Mo.; a sister, Ellen Robey of Lubbock; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Senior Citizens Center of Electra, 503 W. Michigan, Electra, TX 76360; or the American Heart Association.

The family will receive visitors from 7 until 8 p.m. today.

3   ---   George Perry Van Huss born 04 Apr 1908 in Leaday, Coleman County, Texas and died 22 Nov 1995 in Pampa, Gray County, Texas. He married Erma Cadenhead daughter of Claud Clifton Cadenhead and Eliza Eudora Beaty 09 Dec 1933 in Shamrock, Wheeler County, Texas.   He also married Martha Riener.  She was born 1916 in Coleman County, Texas.

4   ---   Robert Lee Van Huss Jr. born 14 Aug 1910 in Brown County, Texas and died Nov 1986 in Stinnett, Hutchinson County, Texas. He married  Roberta M Wicker. He married Bernice McAdams. She was born 07 Apr 1907 in Clinton, Hunt County, Texas and died 03 Dec 1947 in Pampa, Gray County, Texas. He married Margaret Burgess.
