Rose Lee DeBusk and Robert Hugh "Skinny" Hull

Rose Lee DeBusk daughter of Henry Sacket DeBusk and Myrtle Leona Bryant was born 30 October 1919 in Burkett, Coleman County, Texas and died 20 September 2006 in Brownwood Regional Medical Center in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas. She married Robert Hugh "Skinny" Hull 19 Oct 1937 in McCamey, Upton County, Texas. He was born 1914 in Jewett, Leon County, Texas and died 13 Jan 1998 in Brownwood Hospital, Brown County, Texas. They are both buried at Burket Cemetery, Coleman County, Texas.

Funeral services for Rosa Lee "Rosie" Hull, 86, of Brownwood, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. R. Mark Martin officiating. Cremation followed under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home. She passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 20th, 2006 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Rosie was born October 30, 1919, in Coleman County, the daughter of the late Henry and Myrtle (Bryant) DeBusk. She had been a resident of Brownwood since 1942 and formerly lived in Coleman County. She began her career in nursing in 1948 at the old Memorial Hospital, caring for patients in the maternity ward. She continued by working for Dr. Gold, Dr. Coleman, Dr. Laing and Dr. Martin, where she stayed until her retirement. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Rosie was married to Robert H. "Skinny" Hull.


Survivors include her son, Bill Hull of Brownwood; and Jack Reed of Fort Myers, Florida, Howard Alexander of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Susan Nichols of Bangs, who she thought of as part of her family. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.


She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister.

Robert 'Skinny' Hull Obituary Jan. 13, 1998 Abilene Reporter


BROWNWOOD - Robert H. "Skinny" Hull, 84, died Monday at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Burkett Cemetery in Burkett with the Rev. R.J. Elkins officiating, directed by Heartland Funeral Home.

Mr. Hull was born in Jewett and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was employed by Moore's Printing Company and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He married Rosa Lee DeBusk in McCamey.

Survivors include his wife of Brownwood; one son, Bill Hull of Brownwood; and one sister, Georgia Gray of Fort Stockton.
