This has his birth date as Jan 25, 1856 which is not correct. The correct date is Jan 25, 1847. The second line said he was 77 years, 6 months, and 15 days old. That would make his birth 1847. This information was given by Elijah's son Samuel Dickson DeBusk. It was probably a typo by the clerk filling out the Death Certificate. It also states that his mother was Martha Edison. Her correct name was Martha Edmondson.
