Dorothy Elliott (Green) DeBusk

Mrs. Dorothy Elliott (Green) DeBusk, 72, of Dodson, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph Lumpkin Green and the late Donia Mae (Moose) Green.

Mrs. DeBusk was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy DeBusk and her grandson, Brian Rogers.

She is survived by her two daughters, Billie Waters and husband James of Winnfield, Frankie Rogers and husband Huey of Winnfield; two sons, James F. DeBusk and wife Daughtery of Bossier City, Timothy L. DeBusk and wife Delia of Henderson, Texas; three brothers, Joseph "Sonny" Green, Howard Green, Ricky Green all of Dahlonega, Georgia; two grandchildren, Brandon DeBusk, Kaylynn DeBusk; one great-grandchild, Cole DeBusk

Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008 and from 8 a.m. to service time Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Funeral services will be held at Southern Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Wayne Morrow officiating. Interment will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield.

Services for Billy E. DeBusk were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of
Southern with the Rev. Louis Moffett officiating. Burial was in Garden of
Memories.

DeBusk, 58, of Winnfield died at 3 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 1985 in Veterans
Administration Medical Center, Pineville.

DeBusk was a World War II veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy DeBusk of Winnfield; two sons, Jim DeBusk
and Tim DeBusk of Monroe; two daughters, Billie DeBusk of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Frankie Rogers of Winnfield; his mother, Minnie DeBusk of Winnfield; three brothers, Charles DeBusk of Bossier City, W. F. DeBusk, Jr., of Shreveport, and Louis DeBusk of Williana; one sister, Fern Trawick of Winnfield; and three grandchildren.
