He married Lelia Muriel DeBusk daughter of Christopher Houston DeBusk and Nettie Brown Acrey  She was born 20 Aug 1898 in Coleman County, Texas and died 29 Sep 1946 in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas. They are both buried at Burkett Cemetery, Coleman County, Texas. Walter Raleigh Chambers also married Iola Bowden 23 Nov 1955 in May, Brown County, Texas.

2   ---     Opal Eugenia Chambers was born 17 Feb 1904 and died 01 Jan 1992. She married Walter Lesliie Byrd son of Jesse Blackstone Byrd, Jr. and Eliza Rebecca Wilson 01 Jan 1921 in Brown County, Texas. He was born 10 Feb 1901 in Brown County, Texas and died 12 Oct 1980 in Brown County, Texas.  They are both buried at Cross Cut Cemetery, Brown County, Texas
