(name listed as RICE) MI census - where did they go after that! Son, Jacob RICE, b: Michigan, est 1863, wife name of Maggie. I am searching for parents, siblings, and an exact birthplace, in NY, 1844, for Ora Jay (O.J.) CALDWELL. He married Adelaide MUSSELMAN, in Michigan, and they live in Chase, Lake Co, MI, where he died in 1920. Their children are Fred, Truman (Truman lived at 1143 Drexel Avenue, Detroit, Wayne Co, MI, in 1930.) and Ray CALDWELL. Fred lived in TN and CA. It is said that Ray was a traveling salesman in Detroit. Truman was b. 24 Jul 1875, in Kalamazoo Co, MI. He moved, as a child, with his parents to Chase, Lake Co, MI and was living with them in 1920. Fred E CALDWELL, b. 7 Sep 1886 and Ray A.CALDWELL, b. 18 Sep 1871. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Children: Emma Sophia b 21 Oct 1862 Grattin,MI; Sarah Frances b 30 Apr 1865 Keene,Ionia,MI; Minnie May b 29 Aug 1868 MI. I would very much like to obtain death records, obituaries, cemetery records of Clarissa. She went by Emeline on the Census and may be listed that way. I have a copy of the 1880 Census. Searching for info on Homer CUTLER family. They appear on the 1880 Lake Co Census. Wife: Emmogene POTTER b 1858 Ionia, MI. Child: Maude b 1879 MI. Homer was the 1880 Census enumerator for Ellsworth twp, Lake Co. He may have also been the Sheriff of Lake Co. Searching for info on Henry Allen CUTLER b Aug 1840 Family. They appear on the 1900 Lake Co Census. Wife: Sarah A HUNTER. Children: Mary E. b 1876 MI; Ward H b 1878 MI. Ward was listed as as grocer and Henry was a Civil War Pensioner. Sarah was not listed on the Census. Also looking for Hal CUTLER b Oct 1863 MI Family. Wife: Lorene C. b May 1878. Hal occupation is listed as a pros. atty on 1900 Lake Co Census. Looking for William George ALBAITIS (b. 24 Feb 1882 in Lithuania) and his wife, Antonia Anna KIAUNIS (b. 12 Aug 1882 in Lithuania). They should have been settled in Peacock by 1920, but they're not in the census. They had 10 children: Mary, Joseph, George, Nellie, Anna, Margaret, William, John, Frank and Alex. The last 9 may have been born in Peacock after 1911.

I am looking for information on Lake County residents Jacob Riley PEPPER, b. 1839 in New York, moved to Lake Co. ca. 1880 and to Deer Lake 1881, Jacob's wife Serua Ann GOULD who was born in Hillsdale County. According to death certs., both are buried in Pinora Cemetery, Pinora, Lake Co.. I am also looking for info on their relatives: Serua's father Nelson GOULD and her mother; Jacob's brothers John PEPPER and Philatus PEPPER and any descendants/spouses. John B. WALLACE born in NY married ? Nelson and had a son Amasa E. WALLACE also born in NY in 1846. Amasa E. WALLACE married Laura A. GOODRICH (born 1860 Utah). Amasa and Laura had a son Roy A. WALLACE born 1884 Lake Co. Mi. possibly Baldwin. Roy died 1966 Lake Co. Mi. Roy married Cora TANNER born 1892 in Chase Mi. I do not know Cora Tanner's parents but I believe she was married a second time to a Danks. I have no record of marriage, birth or deaths. Roy and Cora are the parents of my grandfather Donald Roy WALLACE born Nov. 30, 1908, married Neva Curtice on Aug. 11, 1926 and died Dec. 22, 1982 in Montcalm Co. Mi. Any information would be helpful

My father-Orie Alvin Heilman- was born in Lake County. My Grandfather- John Heilman lived in Lake County with his wife Stella Coates. I don't have any inforcation on my Great Grandfather-Henry Heilman-and his wife Malissa Mann. John Heilman was born in 1885, not sure about Malissa Mann. Stella Coates died at an early age,around the age of 42. Any information on Heilman's or Mann will be very much appreciated.

My great granddad George Henry Switzer lived in the Forman/Baldwin area, died there in Feb of 1879, and is buried in the Nirvana cemetery. Switzer Lake, and Switzer Bridge, both south of Idlewild, are named for him. I am unable to find a death record on him, and am interested in this item and any other data I can develop.
